During your first few days and onboarding, there will be a lot of new information to take in. That’s why we’ve put together this page to help you get started. It will give you an idea of what to expect, so you can arrive well prepared for your first day.
How do you get into the building? What should you wear? And do you need to bring your own lunch? You’ll find all the practical information you need for a great start right here.

We’re happy to have you! Talpa is a network of people, creators and brands. Together, we are more than our stories, channels, formats and familiar faces.
We are a network where we share ideas, trust and energy. And above all, we believe in working together, because Together, we achieve more!
Coming by public transport? From Hilversum Central Station, a bus (line 1 or 121) departs every 15 minutes and will take you to the Schuttersweg stop in about 10 minutes. From there, it’s just a two-minute walk to Bergweg. Prefer a stroll? You can also enjoy a 20-minute walk through the centre of Hilversum to our office.
Coming by bike? We have plenty of space for (public transport) bikes right in front of the building.
Coming by car? If you live more than 8 km from the office, you’re allowed to park on our premises (next to, behind, or underneath the building). But you’ll need an access pass to enter. On your very first working day, you can park in a visitor space near the main entrance.

Normally, you enter the building using your access pass, but of course you won’t have one yet on your first day. Please report to the main entrance instead. Once you’ve given your name, security will know exactly that you’re the new colleague we’ve been expecting. They will make sure one of your new colleagues comes to bring you to your workspace.
On your first day, you will receive your access pass, which you can use to enter the building from then on.

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
From casual to a little more dressed up: come as you are and choose an outfit you feel good in.
You’re welcome to bring your own lunch. Every department has a pantry with a fridge. But we also have a great canteen where an extensive and varied lunch is prepared every day. Lunch costs €4.05 (card payments only), and you can choose whatever you like.
You can also order an evening meal if that works better with your shift. Do you have any allergies? Of course, we’ll take those into account.
Fancy a snack? Free fresh fruit is available in the canteen every day for everyone. If you’re looking for something more substantial, there’s a vending machine in De Kroeg stocked with healthy meals.
Prefer something a little less healthy? You’ll find vending machines on every floor with a selection of chilled drinks, biscuits and crisps.

Starting on a Tuesday or Thursday? Don’t forget your sportswear! You can join a bootcamp session on Tuesdays and boxing on Thursdays.
Prefer to work out in your own time? Our gym is open 24/7 and has shower facilities.
Looking for something a little more relaxing? Every Tuesday, we organise Yin Yoga as well as a short lunchtime meditation session.
Also good to know: we regularly organise fun activities that you can join! On the last Tuesday of every month, there’s an After Lunch Kick, an informal knowledge-sharing session. We also regularly organise a DoMiBo, our Thursday afternoon drinks, on the last Thursday of the month.
Here’s what’s coming up:
29.10 – Halloween Domibo 10.11 – Q4 AI Inspiration Sessions 12.11 – After Lunch Kick with John Lin on how China’s rapid innovation is putting it ahead of Europe in technology.

A safe and respectful working environment is very important to us.
Our Code of Conduct sets out the agreements and expectations for how we treat one another. We expect all colleagues to follow these guidelines.
